The short version: your scans never leave your iPhone. The only data sent off your device is your location, when you choose to load nearby cell towers.
Effective date: November 6, 2026
SignalRadar has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no third-party trackers. It does not collect or store personal data on any server. The one exception is the location lookup described in section 6, which happens only when you choose to load cell towers.
All scanning, signal analysis, heatmap rendering and device identification happen locally on your iPhone. Bluetooth scan results, walk sessions, labels and settings are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. A room scan is turned into a floor plan that is stored only on your device, and you can delete it at any time.
Permission data is used solely for the features described above and never leaves your device.
When you export a report, the file is created on your device and shared only through the share sheet destination you choose. SignalRadar does not upload your exports.
Cell tower locations. The Cellular Coverage feature shows nearby cell tower locations from the public OpenCelliD database. To fetch them, the app sends a lookup over the internet, so OpenCelliD's servers receive that request the same way any website you visit receives your connection. The request contains your location and the free OpenCelliD access token you entered yourself. It carries no advertising profile and nothing from your scans, labels, walk history or identity.
Tools such as ping, DNS lookup, traceroute, port scan and speed test necessarily contact the network addresses you enter, exactly as any network utility does. Results stay on your device.
The only data SignalRadar sends off your device is your location, sent to OpenCelliD (opencellid.org) when you choose to load nearby cell towers. It is used only to find those towers and is not linked to your identity. SignalRadar has no accounts, no ads and no analytics.
You can delete all app data at any time from Settings inside the app, or by deleting the app, which removes its private storage from your iPhone.
SignalRadar does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
